The HP DeskWriter 694C printer is made for Mac users (finally, a printer with the focus on the many Mac consumers in the world). This printer doesn’t take up too much desk space and is ready to be included in your home office. It works for your document and photo printing needs.

Speed
When printing in black the HP DeskWriter 694C printer produces 5 pages per minute in fast mode, 3 pages per minute in normal mode, and 1 page per minute in best mode. For color prints it manages 1.7 pages per minute in fast mode, 0.8 pages per minute in normal mode, and 0.3 pages per minute in best mode.

Photos
An adequate 600 x 300 dpi is promoted on the HP DeskWriter 694C printer. PhotoREt integrated technology helps this printer to create outstanding photos. Use the optional photo ink cartridge for optimal results. Thanks to MDL (multi-dye load printing technology) the photo ink cartridge uses a 6 ink color combination to create fantastic color displays on prints. This technology enhances the colors of your photos beyond the use of the normal color cartridge making your photos turn out more realistic.

Mac Compatible
The HP DeskWriter 694C printer is Mac ready with minimal system requirements of a 68030 Processor at 33 MHz or higher, System 7.1 or higher, 7.5 MB hard drive space, and 4 MB RAM or 8 MB RAM on PowerMac.

Compatible Ink Cartridges
The HP DeskWriter 694C printer uses a black ink cartridge and color ink cartridge. 51629A – Black Print Cartridge and the 51649A – Color Print Cartridge are the right ones to use. There is also an optional photo cartridge to create better quality prints. The right one to choose is C1816A – Photo Cartridge.

Paper Capacity
Up to 100 sheets of paper makes for a large paper capacity of the HP DeskWriter 694C printer. It also handles up to 20 envelopes, up to 50 transparencies, up to 30 cards, or up to 25 sheets of Avery paper labels. The output tray holds up to 50 pieces of paper.

Paper Sizes
This printer works well with standard letter size or A4 sized sheets of paper. It also works with Avery paper label products.
